It's OK. Not as smooth as the 1080i native satellite output but watchable.

To use the app on your console you need Sky Go Extra on your account so if you don't have this then give Sky a call and ask them to add it for you.

My guess would be that your husband's account would have been closed and you then signed up as a new customer so if this is the case you need to logout of the app, via the settings icon on the homep[age and set up a new Sky ID to use to login to it.
If you want to use the same email address then you need to first remove it from the old account first so log into the old account here:
https://www.sky.com/myaccount/my-details
Then delete the email address by providing another one and logout of this account, this will then free it up to use when setting up your new Sky ID:

What is "My Sky - Firebase"
I have just changed my Sky password on my account, which I did, but there was also a link to 'App Management' which it suggested should be reviewed following a change of password. Here, it said "you have authorised the following applications to access your Sky ID. If you change your mind you can remove any access permissions here"
The first two apps looked straightforward; "Sky apps" and "My Sky", but the third one said "My Sky - Firebase". Does anyone know what this is for - I've never heard of it? Since I had no idea what it was I clicked 'remove' but I have since called customer services to ask what it is and she mentioned playing games, but also that it was a security thing. TBH, I couldn't really understand what she was saying.
I have gone back into my account thinking I would just un-tick 'remove', but it's no longer on the list as an option, so I can't add it back on.
Sorry this is a long winded question; any advice greatly appreciated.

I did a long chat with a Sky bod. The outcome is that nothing fixed the issue and we wait and hope that the next update resolves the problem.

Same issue here since a few days ago (factory reset phone, so reinstalled app). Had the issue previously, but can't recall how I fixed it!!!!
Really frustrating as records in SD not HD as it sends the wrong channel to the box
