did anyone find anyway around this??
my little boy is obsessed with boo snoo
and it isn't available to buy so he can no longer watch it out of the house
Surely the fact that you only allow downloads for 30 days and they expire 48 hours after watching would allow customers to download them as many times as we wish
there is clearly a problem somewhere here SKY
Please pass this to the higher ups to look into as it's just ridiculous

This seems to be a not unusual problem, can't find a solution online.
Sky Go on iPhone 13 mini, uptodate IOS, phone for 18 months, no change of ISP etc - suddenly gives message:
"sorry something went wrong your device needs to be authorised, please ensure it's connected to the internet and try again "
tried all suggestions suggested on line to no avail.
works fine with iPad

To see if they can help you with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who should be in touch with you regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page. It can take up to a few hours to be contacted via this.
This link explains how this works so you will need to respond to the chat bubble at the bottom of the page when it appears:

When the chat bubble does appear you will have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed.
This isn't a live chat so replies are not instant.

Sorry for the delay replying.
It was straight after the last update. The uninstall/reinstall did work and now everything is back to normal
Bitdefender had zero issue when I reinstalled Sky Go and no issues since so fingers crossed, the mystery is resolved.

Is the Sky Go app connected to your Sky Q box, if so try turning this off in the settings via the app itself.
Sky Go - Reinstalled Sky Go on windows 11 but I can only see a white play symbol, no tv guide
Hi I was having issue with Sky Go on my windows 11 laptop. I was getting the error message file download is corrupted, when it was trying to update itself. After trying a few times I uninstalled the Sky Go app. And have logged in to my account and downloaded the installer from sky, I ran the installer and all I get on the installed Sky go app is a big play button. I don't see a tv guide or anything else that I can use to access any programs. I also searched for sky schedule in google, whilst logged into my sky account. Clicked on a sky channel program. When I get watch record etc. I click watch, this takes me back to the download sky go page on skys website and doesn't play the program. I do have an old sky account that doesn't have and subscription I may have tried to install sky go on this account. Would this have affected my newer later installation of sky go? Any help would be appreciated. It's though Sky doesn't know I've installed Sky go. I have removed the app and rebooted the laptop before reinstalling the app.

Just wasted half a day getting nowhere with the Sky help forum. Boils down to the fact that the Sky Go app developers are tardy in keeping up with iPhone IOS updates. The present iteration of the app is incompatible with the latest IOS.
Sky no doubt make billions from its customers, you would think they could at least keep up with the phone operating systems, there are only two after all !

I keep getting error code 1404 on sky go on my PC. I've deleted the app, restarted and reinstalled many times and still a problem. Never had this problem in the last year. Just started now.

Do you have a TV subscription from Sky ?
If you do try signing out of the app and then back into it.
Make sure you are logged in with the correct ID/email

No picture (sound only)
Until yesterday I have been ableto watch Sky on my Laptop without any issues. Now when I select a programme I get a black screen with sound only. When adverts come on I do get a picture and sound but as soon as adverts finish a black screen appears with sound only.
This happens on live tv / documentaries etc.
I have removed and re-installed the Sky Go App but still no joy.
any ideas?
