My sky go keeps freezing then after a few minutes it just comes up with a message saying
There is an error please try later. I have had nothing but trouble with this, and i used it late at night kn my iphone, rather than the tv. I have tried deleting and reinstalling app and turning device off, but nothing works.
Looks like there is an update to the Sky go app, there is another thread on hear that covers it, but basically you need to completely delete the app, including emptying the Bin, and then download and install the app. this has just worked for me.

To ensure that we can provide the best possible experience whilst using Sky Go, from time to time we must look at stopping support for older operating system versions.
For Sky Go on iOS, we are removing support for iOS 12 by the 17th September. From this date, you'll need to update to iOS 13 or above, to continue using your device. We will be updating our help articles and the app over the coming weeks.

Thanks for replying to me. I did manage to launch Sky Go yesterday but then having come out of it and trying to relaunch it has now reverted back to the errors as previously
Anyone from Sky Customer services?
I've been experiencing exactly the same 001 error message. Tried the above 'solution' but still not working. I am running Windows 10 and the app worked perfectly until 4 months ago. Every time I open the app there is an immediate Update download then the screen goes blue for 2 minutes before the 'We're having trouble connecting you...001' error message appears.
I rang Sky weeks ago and they promised a call back. I am still waiting.
It seems obvious that the update is creating problems on some systems.
Can someone please give me a solution to this issue?
Are you running something that could be blocking it like a firewall or a VPN ?
Sky Go works fine until I watch it on my TV via AirPlay. It is a grey cover that covers the whole of the Sky Go tab. P.S. I am using an Apple Macbook Air.
You cannot cast from a mobile device to a TV screen with Sky Go
Do you not have HDMI out so you can go from the computer direct to the TV without using airplay?
Yes, I have an HDMI cable. I'll try that 🙂

Well I don't know what has happened but tried again with the downloaded app and hey presto all working with 1 day to the footy starting - Nice 🙂
Probably the most raised topic on here but if someone from Sky could sort this out for me I'd be grateful.
I have a Macbook air and cant find the SKY Go App from the store for some reason. I can find a link on my mobile but not on my Mac. Please could you post link to download SKY GO

@peter321 you need sky go extra deep n your sky account if you haven't got it, you can add for £5pm extra

Hi all,
The Sky Go app on my iMac has stopped working, just completely failing to load at all.
I've read through the various other threads and caried out all the recomended actions, leaving me with the latest version of 24.1.4-3 and a fresh cache etc.
My iMac is an older model, so I'm limited to High Sierra (10.13.6) which I just read is no longer supported.
Silly question, but does this mean that it will no longer work at all?!!
Has anyone else with High Sierra managed to get Sky Go to work with the latest update?
