Any new advice post 12 August 2024 on how to get Sky Go app to launch successfuly on macbook air m3? Rosetta install did not work for me. Sky Go app still showing as intel when a patch is needed to make it a universal app. What are Sky Go developers doing about this?
Same problem here, locked downloading update. Looking at the sheer number of posts on exactly the same issue I'm amazed that there is no definative response from Sky. It's clearly a problem that they should address in simple terms so any user can understand. I don't beleive that suddenly all those users are having PC issues.
Is there a simple solution?
I suspect no easy solution. In my case the problem started following a failed download. The likely effect was to corrupt registry entries as I had to manually remove all references to SkyGo and couldn't rely on register cleaners to do it.
Not clever.
@Annie+UK i am having the same issue too. I have 2 devices registered and I have sky go extra which allows consoles, but my PlayStation 5 says 'you can't use sky go on this device yet. You'll need a multi screen, sky glass whole home or sky go extra subscription to access sky go on this device.
as I have sky go extra I would expect this to work and in the past it has done. Any ideas?

This has been going on for over a month, where I open Sky Go and after about 15 seconds the application just closes with no error message or anything. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the application, I have removed all related files to the application and reinstalled it. Now I don't know what to do to fix this problem.

I take it this is running on a PC, if so have you checked what other programs you have running in the background as something that is running might be causing the Sky Go app to crash.
I've tried allowing SkyGo through the firewall to no avail. No VPN on my home network, but is activated for other networks.
Yes, this is on PC.
I have not downloaded anything different recently that would impact Sky Go. I am unsure as to what programs would impact the running of Sky Go.

I am not able to sign into sky go on my iPhone. I have successfully logged in on my Xbox so I'm not sure how to fix the issue. I have uninstalled the app reinstalled. Restarted my phone. Closed the app down multiple times. Can anyone help me please

It was resolved but I'm afraid I don't know what changed. I was due a call with the Sky technical team and tried it a couple off days before and it worked. In the previous two weeks I'd tried, several times:
- deleting and reinstalling the app.
- removing the iPad from "my devices" on the app.
- rebooting the iPad.
- rebooting the router.
- forgetting the home network and relinking to it.
In the same period my partner's iPad and my iPhone on the same network were fine with Sky Go.
I've used my iPad for a long time on sky go and for whatever reason I cannot use it I'm getting a message saying my device needs authorisation which normally is playing a channel or downloading something, but that doesn't work, the error message pops up.
i have rebooted, uninstalled switched wifi on and off but nothing works, a guy from sales who was offering me sky cinema was going to transfer me however I just got cut off which wasn't a surprise!
